Guidelines for Unacceptable Donations
Non-acceptable subjects, such as, but not limited to: harlequin, serial romance, excessive drug, alcohol, or sexually suggestive content,
Materials, such as, but not limited to: VHS, cassette tapes, DVDs or CDs, Time-Life published books, magazines, Reader’s Digest, old textbooks and older reference materials (almanacs, study guides, travel guides, Encyclopedias, Dictionaries, etc.) , or periodicals
Heavily saturated authors, such as, but not limited to: Marry Higgins Clark, Danielle Steel, John Grisham
Books with pages that are heavily marked with pen or highlighter; are torn, or warped; have excessive odors, residue, and moisture damage, or obvious wear
Paperbacks that are warped and worn
Book Donation FAQ’s
Where can I drop off my books? Please leave your books next to the storage closet with “The Office” sign at the back of Martin’s Coffee & Bakery. Be sure to write your name on the box.
How much will you give me for my books? The amount given per book is determined by several factors, so there is no set amount we will pay per book. Please allow time for us to calculate this to determine how much you will receive.
How will I receive payment? We will pay you in the form of a voucher that is redeemable at Fox Booksellers, Martin’s Coffee & Bakery, and Fiddle & Clay. Should you choose to donate more than once, we will add value to your voucher.
Donating Books
At Fox Booksellers, we aim to provide quality secondhand books at an affordable price. If you are ready to part with some of your books, you may donate them to our bookstore. We appreciate any donations, and will only accept books that are in good condition. If your books are in good condition (see our unacceptable donations guidelines below), you can choose to receive compensation for them.

Fox Booksellers has the right to return any unwanted books to the seller should they meet any of the guidelines for unacceptable donations.
